Rapper, producer and all round wanker Kanye West has released a book filled with his, er, teachings.
These Kanye-isms as he calls them, feature such philosophical gems as “I hate the word hate,” and my personal favourite regarding “the missing banister theory”, “When walking down the street, you can walk in one line perfectly without ever falling over. Now take that same city block, make it a foot wider and put it a hundred stories high. You’re going to be so focused on the fact that you don’t have a banister that you’re more likely to fall because of it. When you’re so focused on what you don’t have, you won’t have.”I think there is something in that for all of us, don’t you?
"Sometimes people write novels and they just be so wordy and so self-absorbed," West was quoted by Reuters as saying. "I am not a fan of books. I would never want a book's autograph.
"I am a proud non-reader of books. I like to get information from doing stuff like actually talking to people and living real life.”
I am actually such a fan of this book, that I would even consider getting its autograph.
West didn’t actually write this book all by himself. It was co-written by J. Sakiya Sandifer. It’s a bit difficult to say how they split up the writing duties of this 52 page book, but somehow they managed to collaborate into one entity and become the next Kiekkergaard.
