70s fuzz rockers Wolfmother hit a milestone in their native Australia this week as their debut self titled record clocks up one year in the ARIA charts.
The band has been one of Australia's biggest success stories, pushing Jet aside to sell almost one million copies worldwide.Wolfmother has sold triple platinum in Australia, meaning sales in excess of 210,000 copies, although this does mean albums shipped into stores, not sold from stores.
Wolfmother's success overseas has been huge and they have become a household name in both the USA and Europe.
Brisbane pop duo The Veronicas recently clocked up one year in the charts with their debut album 'The Secret Life Of...', but we'll stick to celebrating real bands dreamed up in smoky rehearsal rooms without a suit in sight if you don't mind.
