It will be the ultimate guitar hero battle with Wolfmother opening for AC/DC on the Australian tour.
The all-new Wolfmother will be on tour parading songs from their new album ‘Cosmic Egg’ up against AC/DC debuting songs from ‘Black Ice’ live in Australia for the very first time.Wolfmother’s ‘Cosmic Egg’ will be released in September so the new sounds will be fresh and first time for much of the AC/DC audience.
Meanwhile, AC/DC’s ‘Black Ice’ would have had a year to settle on the ears of the audience, with songs like ‘Rock and Roll Train’ and ‘Anything Goes’ feeling as familiar as many of the old songs from the band.
‘Cosmic Egg’ is going to be a major test for Wolfmother after singer Andrew Stockdale left the original band is ashes after a bitter and well-publicized split and continued on with a new band using the old name.
A final tracklisting is yet to be announced for ‘Cosmic Egg’. Stockdale suggested on Twitter that he is considering making it a double album.
