After a luke-warm reaction from the American market to her career to date, Kylie Minogue is going out to try and conquer America again.
Kylie’s KylieX2008 tour brought in an estimated $70 million in ticket sales from 21 countries, according to Billboard, and despite her huge international success, inside America is she slightly above an unknown.Kylie’s hit status in the USA is limited to just two songs. ‘the Loco-Motion’ reached no. 3 for her in 1988. ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ reached no. 7 in 2001.
Her ‘X’ album sold 36,000 units in America, according to SoundScan. Gold in the USA is 500,000.
Kylie’s US tour will start in Oakland, California on September 30.
