That car insurance ad Undercover told you fronted by Iggy Pop and broadcast on television in the UK has been pulled off air.
The Advertising Standards Authority has ruled that the advertisement was misleadingbecause the insurance company does not cover musicians.
Things started to go ugly for Swiftcover.com when they came under fire in February for the false advertising.
The ASA has ordered the ad stop being broadcast as it falsely led people to believe that the company covered people in the entertainment business, which it does not. It was also revealed that Iggy Pop has never held a policy with the company.
The company maintained that Iggy was chosen because of his lifestyle, not because of his occupation.
