Red Ink, from the Mornington Peninsula, are one of Melbourne`s buzz bands.
When you listen to this band you are immediately reminded of 80’s electro-pop. Think Gary Numan, Human League, Ultravox and then slap in a big of good ol’ 21st century sizzle and you will start to get a sense of what this band is all about.Singer John Jakubenko gets a lot of notice as the vibrant, animated frontman but backing up the sound is the competence of Brendan Jones on guitar, James Munns on bass and Aaron Sim on drums.
The featured song on their MySpace page is ‘Kleptomaniac’. It has had more than 24,000 plays.
