Who will tour Australia for round 2 of The JD Set with Faker? Well, that’s up to you. Maybe it will be Cameras.
Cameras came off the back of a solo career which founding member Eleanor Dunlop was developing. She got as far as winning the Triple J Unearthed Top Song competition in NSW. Then in came Fraser Harvey.All it took was one coffee for Eleanor to decide her next move was in a band with Fraser. Cameras was born.
Next came self-confessed nerd Ben Kingshoff of drums. After some great advice from producer Rich Costley (Doves/Muse/Franz Ferdinand) it was time to lay down the first demo. In came Scott Horscroft (Silverchair/The Presets) to man the machine.
Cameras are a difficult one to pigeonhole because the sounds are so diverse. They cite everyone from Eurythmics to Paul Simon to Radiohead to White Stripes as their influences.
