Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor has quit the band midway through a tour, citing a "gulf" forming between him and the rest of the musicians.
The remaining four members of the group will continue to perform and record together. It is not the first time Duran Duran has had a lineup change. Throughout the 80s and 90s the band suffered several incarnations and only recently brought the original line up together to record the poorly received album 'Astronaut'.
The band said in a statement, "As of last weekend, the four of us have dissolved our partnership and will be continuing as Duran Duran without Andy, as we have reached a point in our relationship with him where there is an unworkable gulf between us and we can no longer effectively function together."
Taylor will be replaced by Dom Brown until the current American tour finishes on November 11.
