A recording by Susan Boyle of the classic `Cry Me A River` has surfaced.
Susan recorded the song back in 1999 for a charity album.Scottish newspaper The Daily Record discovered a copy of the album has posted the song online.
Only 1000 copies of the charity album were pressed, so this was a rare find.
Susan Boyle was unknown until last Saturday.
The 47-year old unemployed, unmarried women who could be anyone’s next door neighbor, won the hearts of the world when she appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, was snickered out because of her appearance and then gobsmacked the audience with her heavenly version of the Les Miserables core song ‘I Dream A Dream’.
The three judges rose to applaud as soon as she opened her mouth.
What happens next for Susan Boyle will be interesting. This was only the start of the third season of the show. She will come back again and continue to contest but after last week’s show, maybe they are better off plucking her out now and putting her in the studio to make an album.
By the audience reaction, the race for this year’s winner is over. No-one has ever had that reaction, not only locally but globally.
Have a listen to this 10 year old recording of Cry Me A River by Susan Boyle. She was great back then too.
