The world is still talking about Susan Boyle, just days after her first ever television performance on Britain`s Got Talent.
So who is Susan Boyle?Until last weekend, Susan was an unknown, unemployed 47-year virgin from West Lothian, Scotland. She entered ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, wowed the judges and the world and now I guess we can remove the “unknown” and “unemployed” from her resume but assume the rest of the description remains intact.
Susan Boyle always wanted to be a professional singer but said it didn’t happen “because she never had the chance”.
She finally got that chance on April 11 when she performed ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ on the 3rd series of Britain’s Got Talent.
After being sniggered at when she came on stage for her frumpy looks and age, Susan turned the three judges and the audience right around with the most stunning performance of ‘I Dreamed A Dream’.
The judges comments were:
Piers Morgan: Without a doubt that was the biggest surprise I have had in three years on the show. When you stood there with that cheeky grin and said, "I wanna be like Elaine Paige", everyone was laughing at you. No one is laughing now. That was stunning, an incredible performance. Amazing. I'm reeling from shock.
Amanda Holden: I am so thrilled because I know that everybody was against you. I honestly think that we were all being very cynical and I think that's the biggest wake up call ever. And I just want to say that it was a complete privilege listening to that.
Simon Cowell: Susan Boyle, you can head back to the village, with your head held high, it's three yesses.
Susan lives in the village of Blackburn, West Lothian with her 10-year old cat Pebbles. She is the youngest of 9 children but didn’t get to sing professional because she cared for her sick mother who died in 2007 at the age of 91.
