Was Billy Bob Thornton deliberately trying to be a complete arsehole when he appeared on Q TV in Canada this week with his band The Boxmasters?
Billy Bob seemed to have forgotten that he has had a successful past and was annoyed when host Jian Ghomeshi even mentioned he had been an actor.Thornton cited his music influences growing up as coming from a magazine called ‘Famous Monsters of Film Land’. When asked what he listened to as a kid he said they had a contest where you could build your own model, a King Kong or anything.
When Ghomeshi asked what they had to do with music Thornton snapped, "would you say that to Tom Petty".
Thornton was clearly off his face and at the end of the interview when his band was meant to perform, he sat it out stating that he was a drummer and didn’t have his drums.
Thornton is the singer in the band and the band performed an instrumental.
So what crawled up Billy’s arse that day? Lets see what the next few day uncovers and if this band can remain together for another week.
