Reggae musician started his record collection with Roxy Music`s ‘Avalon’.
“I think it might have been the first tape I ever bought, actually,” Mishka tells Undercover News. “I have a very eclectic taste in music. I’m mostly into mellow stuff. I am not into heavy rock. I am a big reggae fan obviously. I play a lot of reggae stuff as well as stuff like Roxy Music”.Mishka, the first signing to Matthew McConaughey’s J.K. Livin label, is in Australia for the first time and performing this weekend at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival at Byron Bay.
He will also perform in Sydney and Melbourne next week.
McConaughey signed Mishka to his label after searching for the reggae singer for 5 years. On holiday in Bermuda, McConaughey heard Mishka via a friend who had bought some of his CDs.
The new Mishka album ‘Above The Bones’ is his third album but first for J.K. Livin. It was released this week in Australia.
