Neil Young is putting technology to its best use for his new album `Fork On The Road`. None of the videos for the album are “Thrillers”. Instead, Neil has gone in the complete opposite direction.
At SXSW, Neil’s manager Elliot Roberts told Undercover that Neil had made 5 videos so far for ‘Fork In The Road’. “They cost nothing,” Roberts said.Instead of bringing in Spielberg, Young made videos of the album using just a hand-held video.
He turned out videos for the tracks ‘Fork In The Road’, ‘Light A Candle’, ‘Cough Up The Bucks’ and two for ‘Johnny Magic’ with no effort but more important, no budget.
‘Fork In The Road’ is just one of many projects from Young this year. The album is out this week. Next you will see the Archive collection in June and then ‘Toast’ later in the year.
As well as the albums, there is also the new movie ‘Neil Young’s Trunk Show’ coming later in the year.
