Madness Had The Best V Audience

The Killers and Kaiser Chiefs may have been the headline act at the V Festival but it was Madness who best worked the crowd.

Without a doubt, the crowd most into a band at the V Festival in Melbourne was the Madness crowd.

What a band, what a show and what an audience.

30 plus years of doing it and 23 years since last performing in Australia, Madness were the V festival highlight.

This was a show full of hit driven love. Madness must have played every song they ever had that had been a hit on the Aussie charts all those years ago.

They opened with ‘One Step Beyond’, then it was straight into ‘Embarrassment’, then ‘My Girl’. Then the crowd went right off for “House Of Fun” and stayed in nutty mode right through ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘Our House’ and ‘It Must Be Love’.

Here is the Madness V Festival setlst:

One Step Beyond (extended version)
Embarrassment
My Girl
The Prince
Dust Devil
Sun and the Rain
Iron Shirt
NW5
Bed and Breakfast Man
Shut Up
Forever Young
House of Fun
Wings of a Dove

Our House
It Must Be Love
