Popkomm is moving this year. The Berlin based music conference will have a new location at Station - Berlin, around the same area where U2 recorded the Achtung Baby album.
This week, Popkomm director Katja Gross hosted a pre-event for media, sponsors and customers at the new location.At the event, she unveiled some of the changes for 2009. Popkomm is primarily a communication platform and is instrumental in bringing together supply and demand, as well as actively encouraging the expansion and ongoing development of networks. That is what our name signifies. Popkomm - popular communication.
The 2009 event is designed as a matchmaking event on an international level. Popkomm 2009 will cover many more areas for areas for companies doing business in TV, advertising, games and mobile entertainment.
The traditional stands will be replaced with company lounges and artists will have concentrated showcase slots to perform live.
The general public will also be able to attend the live music events this year.
Popkomm 2008 returns to the original September slot after running in October last year.
Popkomm will be held from September 16-18, 2009 at Station - Berlin.
