Silverchair`s Chris Joannou says he has never downloaded a song in his life. For Chris, it is and always has been about the Record Store.
“I've never bought music online in my life - my mates always pay me out but I don’t care,” he says. “I have a friend that works in a record store and I'm always in there listening to music and its amazing what music i've discovered simply by walking around the shop and picking things up at random. It's really the only way I discover new music is to be surrounded by it in store”.Chris is yet another artist waving his arms in support of the record store and you will have your turn on April 18.
April 18 is Record Store Day across Australia.
Artists including Ronan Keating, Russell Morris, Alex Lloyd, Wendy Matthews and Cheech & Chong will be in stores on April 18 meeting fans, performing or signing.
