Daniel Wayland Seals, better known to many as England Dan, has died after a battle with mantle cell lymphoma at the age of 61.
England Dan & John Ford Coley were known for this global 70s hit ‘I’d Really Love To See You Tonight’.Dan Seals was the brother of Jim Seals of Seals & Crofts fame. (Summer Breeze, Diamond Girl).
After his duo broke up, Dan started a solo career and released 16 studio albums. He had 11 songs reach number one of the Billboard country chart.
His songs included ‘Meet Me In Montana’ (with Marie Osmond), ‘Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold) and ‘Three Time Loser’.
With Coley, Dan recorded 7 albums. They disbanded in 1980.
Dan Seals recorded his last album ‘Make It Home’ in 2002.
He spent 2008 having radiation treatment in Nashville and Houston.
Dan died on March 25, 2009, at his sister’s home.
