In August, Woodstock will turn 40. Creedence Clearwater Revival played at Woodstock but didn’t end up in the original movie or the album.
At SXSW, Undercover sat down with Stu Cook from Creedence Clearwater Revival to go over the moment.Creedence played at the historic festival and their performance will be seen for the first time ever when the movie is re-released on DVD in June.
There is an extra two hours of footage on the 40th Anniversary edition. As well as CCR’s complete set being seen for the very first time, the DVD will include 18 new performances from 13 artists including Joe Cocker, The Who, Santana, Canned Heat and Jefferson Airplane.
