Sick of big overcrowded festivals with kids dressing up as bumblebees and screaming at the top of their lungs for the latest nu-emo band that some crappy TV station has been bribed to tell them to watch? Good news!
Boogie is the festival for you and not only is it pretty cool, but with only 500 tickets on sale you can be sure to actually SEE great shows from the likes of Dan Auerbach, AMP winners Eddy Current Suppression Ring and even blues legend Tony Joe White. The festival takes place from April 10 - 12 at a small farm just north of Melbourne. Getting there is easy because your ticket includes public transport from any metropolitan train station in Melbourne. (Catch the train to Southern Cross, then catch the V-Line and a shuttle bus will pick you up at the other end).
The full line up is: Tony Joe White, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Dan Auerbach, Even, Hacienda, Holly Throsby, Puta Madre Brothers, Fireside Bellows, Palace of Fire (Myles and Chris formerly of Wolfmother’s new band and their first ever Victorian show!), Megahorns, Electric Mudcat, DJ Andee Frost, Larry’s Cheese on Toast, Eyelash Girls and Chicks On Weed.
