DJ AM is proceeding with legal action following the plane crash that almost killed him and Blink 182's Travis Barker.
DJ AM is suing several companies for millions of dollars after the plane crash.The club DJ, real name Adam Goldstein is suing Learjet, Goodyear Tire And Rubber Co and the estates of the two pilots, for a total of $20million (£14.4million).
Goldstein and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker escaped the burning wreckage of a Learjet that crashed during takeoff in South Carolina in September last year and killed four others on board, including the pilots.
Goldstein is seeking $10 million (£7.2million) to cover his medical expenses, which included several skin grafts for the burns he suffered.
He is also looking to cover lost earnings and profits and a further $10 million (£7.2million) to compensate his mental and physical trauma.
He filed his complaint for negligence and breach of contract in December in Los Angeles Superior Court but this is the first time the amount has been revealed.
Several companies have requested a delay in the trial until the completion of a government investigation into the crash.
