The Flaming Lips are returning to Australia in July for two shows only, one in Melbourne and one in Sydney.
The last time the band graced our shores was in 2004 when they were widely regarded as one of the highlights of that year’s Big Day Out tour.At that time the band were on their second wave after largely being forgotten following a fairly big 1994 hit ‘She Don’t Use Jelly’. In 1999 their album The Soft Bulletin saw them take a different direction that was mastered in 2003 with their critically acclaimed masterpiece ‘Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots’.
