Pop singer Rihanna has fled the United States for a quiet holiday in Punta Mita, Mexico, following her assault by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
Brown meanwhile has commenced anger management classes after his violent bashing on his celebrity girlfriend.US magazine Life and Style Weekly claims that the incident happened after Rihanna threw a phone at Brown and hit him in the head. He lost it and attacked her, causing facial bruising and a cut lip and forcing Rihanna to cancel her appearance later that evening on the Grammy Awards.
21-year old Rihanna has told police that Brown tried to kill her but Brown is expected to testify that she started it by attacking him.
Brown is out on $50,000 bail pending a police investigation. He was initially due to face court on March 5 but that has now been postponed as further investigation is warranted.
Undercover has heard that the case is expected to be throw out of court as Police are finding it nearly impossible to get evidence against Brown as there were no witnesses.
Rihanna, who turned 21 this week, went to her home in Barbados following the attack.
Brown is attending anger management class in Glendale, California.
