Powderfinger guitarist Ian Haug is suing Jupiters Casino for changing his sound.
Haug has lodged a statement of claim with the Queensland Supreme alleging that a bouncer assaulted him, according to the Daily Telegraph. The alleged incident occurred on February 22, 2006.
The statement claims that Haug’s wrists were “bent, twisted and restrained with significant pressure and excessive force”.
Haug was at the casino celebrating his birthday when he claims to have been slapped by a patron. The guitarist says he was then asked to move to a different area of the casino, but refused.
He says that because of the incident, his playing technique has been forced to change.
