Saints and Laughing Clowns guitarist Ed Keupper will be replacing the recently departed Bad Seeds guitarist Mick Harvey for a few Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds shows at German festivals.
The band will play the German festivals Southside (Neuhausen Ob Eck) and Hurricane (Scheesel) in June, and at Oxegen Festival in Ireland on 11th July 2009.Ed Keupper made a name for himself as guitarist in The Saints, playing on the band’s first three albums before leaving to form his own band The Laughing Clowns, often described as “jazz punk”.
Recently Keupper has rejoined The Saints for shows around Australia, as well as reforming The Laughing Clowns, who will be playing at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival this year.
