Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have scored the music to a forthcoming play in in London.
The play is a stage adaptation of ‘Faust’, a tale of a man selling his soul to the devil. It is put together by Gísli Örn Garðarsson of ‘Prince of Persia’ fame.
Cave has teamed up with long time collaborator Warren Ellis (The Bad Seeds, Grinderman, The Dirty Three) to create the score. It is the third time they have worked with Garðarsson, having done ‘Metamorphosis’ and ‘Woyzeck’ in the past.
The play opens in London tonight (September 25) and will run until October 30.
Cave and Ellis will be in London with Grinderman when the play begins. If you’re going, keep an eye out for a tall dark stranger and a beard with eyes.
