Pop star Leona Lewis has issued a message to say that she had nothing at all to do with the Chris Brown and Rihanna relationship breakdown this week and that she hardly knows them.
Reports surfaced that Rihanna may have been ticked off that Brown was giving Lewis too much attention at the pre-Grammy party held by mogul Clive Davis last weekend.Speaking with ABC News, Leona’s spokesperson Sarah Weinstein had this to say. "Leona was seated with her family and long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa at a table near Rihanna and Chris at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party. Chris was introduced to Leona by Rihanna. She said something like 'hello' and they chatted for a couple of minutes. Leona ... had nothing whatsoever to do with any argument that may have ensued between Chris and Rihanna," she said. "Any allegations that the pair had flirted are completely false."
Just a few hours after that encounter, Brown assaulted Rihanna on the way home to her house in Los Angeles.
She has bashed around the face and suffered bruising and cuts.
Rihanna was due to perform at the Grammy Awards that night but was forced to cancel her appearance.
Brown gave himself into police the following day and was later released on $50,000 bail.
He is now facing assault charges.
