Rumours are flying about who is the mystery woman who text messaged Chris Brown and started the fight that led to Rihanna being bashed by Brown.
US Weekly is reporting that the “other woman” may have been Canadian singer Keshia Chante while MTV has named Leona Lewis as the potential “other woman”.Brown beat up Rihanna on their way home from a party in Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Rihanna, who was due to perform at the Grammy Awards that night, suffered a cut lip and a bruised face.
She had to cancel her performance.
Brown gave himself in to police on Monday and was later released on $50,000 bail.
Chante’s manager has come to the defence of the singer saying that she hardly knows Brown.
Lewis was at the same party as Rihanna and Brown. Her spokesperson today issued a statement saying “Any allegations that the pair had flirted are completely false."
Brown is facing assault charges over the attack.
