Madness, Human League Added To V-Fest

The V-festival has gone from good to great with its second line up announcement.

Leading the pack is the incomparable legends from the second wave of ska, Madness, who’s mammoth collection of hits include ‘House Of Fun’, ‘It Must Be Love’, ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘Driving In My Car’ and many many more and to make it even more exciting, it’s their first Australian tour in sixteen years!

If that’s not enough to get the older crowd in, those somewhat gothic, somewhat electro, somewhat pop masters The Human League are heading to Australia to perform their seminal album ‘Dare’ from start to finish.

Other bands include Razorlight, who are returning to Australia after shows in Melbourne and Sydney last month and noisy post-punk duo The Kills show that the festival isn’t all about the super slick.

Jenny Lewis heads to Australia for the first time as a solo artist after the demise of her band Rilo Kiley.

Australian bands Children Collide (would it be a festival in ’08 or ’09 without them?), Howling Bells (who are pretty much an international act anyway), Jackson Jackson and Wolf and Cub show off our finest talent.

This is a spectacular line up that joins an already excellent array of artists including The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Duffy, Snow Patrol and much more. Also, Killers fans take note, the Killers will NOT BE DOING A SIDESHOW. V Festival is your only chance to see them, but they are doing a full concert length set, so you’re not missing out.

Get on down to the festival at one of the following dates:

MARCH
28 - Centennial Park, Sydney
29 - Avica Resort, Gold Coast

APRIL
4 - Showgrounds, Melbourne
5 - Claremont Showgrounds, Perth
