After taking home the bulk of the ARIA Awards in Australia last year, now Gabriella Cilmi is looking for an Echo and chasing a Brit.
Gabriella is nominated alongside Beyonce, Santogold, Pink and Katy Perry for ‘International Solo Female Artist at the Brit Awards coming up soon. She is in the company of Duffy, Leona Lewis, Katy Perry and Amy MacDonald for Best International Newcomer at Germany’s Echo Awards.Next month she will head to Austin, Texas for the US launch of her ‘Lessons To Be Learned’ album. She will play the famed La Zona Rosa in Austin on Thursday March 19.
La Zona Rosa is a former auto workshop that has been revamped as a bar. Van Morrison showcased at the same venue last year.
Gabriella’s ‘Sweet About Me’ was the third most played song on UK radio last year.
