The Big Day Out in Sydney has sold out in just five hours today, making the Big Day Out sell out in record time.
The festival, now in its 15th year, went on sale today and continued the trend of festival tickets disappearing before you can blink.Kids snapped up the tickets to see The Killers, Tool, Muse, Violent Femmes and more.
Reports suggest that there will be 10,000 more tickets available to the public at a later date through a different method, which will be announced later.
The Falls, Meredith, Splendour in the Grass, Homebake and virtually every major festival in the country have all sold out in record time this year. Many experts attribute this to the rise in scalping and sites such as eBay making it easier for scalpers to illegally sell their tickets.
