The Ting Tings are asking fans to contribute video to be screened during their upcoming UK tour.
In a posting at their MySpace, Katie and Jules state, “We would love some of your input and creativity for our next UK tour in Feb/March”.“If you could film yourself drawing, reading, dancing, doing your own kind of performance art, be it simple or complicated, beautiful or eccentric, something YOU find interesting or artistic - we would love to put some of your work into the visuals behind us for our shows”.
This isn’t the first time The Tings Tings have called upon fans to create. In the early days, fans drew on the covers of blank 7” singles to be sold at their gigs.
For this project, “upload your ideas onto youtube and message us the link through our myspace,” they say. “We will spend the following weeks looking at them ALL and seeing which ones work best for the show. We will message you back on myspace if we want to use them with further details. Myself and Jules are doing this ourselves so we promise to watch them all and to credit you at the end of the show every night.”
“Try to film it in the best quality you can so we can project it onto a big backdrop without the image breaking up....maybe upload a lower quality version on youtube so it wont take you ages to upload. ...we can always message you after we have seen it to get a better quality version from you”.
Happy creating Ting Tings fans. Now, off you go to work!
