Soap pop singer Melissa Tkautz releases new single, 'Easily Affected'.
While she may have been out of the music limelight for over a decade, Australian's should be reminded that Tkautz's 1991 debut single 'Read My Lips' was a number one hit and her 1992 album 'Fresh' hit number 15 on the charts and won her ARIA awards for 'Most Popular New Talent' and 'Most Popular Music Video'.Tkautz has been acting and modelling over the time but released an album in late-2005 called 'Lost & Found' including the Prince cover 'The Glamorous Life' as a single which scored highly on the club charts. Now, almost exactly a year after 'Lost & Found', Tkautz announces her new album, coincidentally called 'Glamorous Life' with the lead single 'Easily Affected'. The single was released on October 2 with the album to follow in December.
'Easily Affected' was written, produced and mixed by Swedish pop hit-makers 2N. Although it might be a bit rich for Tkautz to announce on her myspace that she sounds like Kylie, Madonna and Britney Spears, there's a certain soft sweetness to her vocals that are certainly reminiscent of Minogue.
Tkautz plans a club tour to promote the single in October and November.
