Italian crooner Alfio has covered the Bon Jovi ballad `Always` on his latest new album `Classic Rewinds`.
The Sydney based singer is paying tribute to Italian-American artists with the album and decided he wanted to “bring mainstream sensibility to the millions of contemporary fans around the world,” by showcasing the Bon Jovi piece alongside the works of Perry Como, Dean Martin and Mario Lanza. The album kicks off with the Como classic ‘Papa Loves Mambo’ and runs through a group of evergreens from Vic Damone, Frank Sinatra, Al Martino, Tony Bennett and Franki Valli.
Alfio concludes the collection with a few of his own. (Well, he is an Italian-Australian so that is close enough).
The album is out independently through One Voice Entertainment.
