Neil Young played his first Australian show on the Big Day Out yesterday on the Gold Coast.
The show was 4 songs shorter than the Big Day Out show on Friday in Auckland, New Zealand but featured the same calibre of Young classics.Despite a new album called ‘Fork In The Road’ not far off, Young is keeping the setlist to the songs you know.
That could all change on Wednesday when he does his first “sideshow” at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
In his recent shows at Madison Square Garden, the music of ‘Fork In The Road’ was given a roadtest.
The new songs he played at the New York show included ‘Light A Candle’, ‘Cough Up The Bucks’, ‘Fuel Line’, ‘Hit The Road’, ‘Get Around’, ‘Off The Road’ and ‘Get Behind The Wheel’.
Expect a few to surface when he plays his own shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
