The Mars Volta's third album has been christened Amputechture.
The album artwork has been designed by painter Jeff Jordan who has given his work ‘Big Mutant' to the front cover.Jordan is well known for his surrealist paints.
The Mars Volta released their second album Frances The Mule only last year.
