Robbie Williams` 67-year old mother Jan is recovering from heart bypass surgery.
Williams, who now lives in Los Angeles, flew back to England to be with his mother on Saturday when she was admitted to hospital.Jan is a single mum who brought Robbie up by herself after his dad left. She also has a 42-year old daugher, Robbie’s sister Sally.
Jan was the one who spotted the ad for an audition for Take That in a newspaper and suggested Robbie apply. It started his career.
Robbie wrote his hit song ‘Angels’ about his mum. The lyrics go “And through it all she offers me protection, a lot of love and affection, whether I’m right or wrong”.
Jan is expected to spend Christmas Day in hospital. Robbie will be with her.
