Robbie Williams has performed live on stage with Take That for the first time in 15 years.
All five members of the megastar boy band performed their new single ‘The Flood’ on UK talent show The X-Factor, backed by a string orchestra.
The response from the Brits was overwhelming, but not big enough to take the single to number one.
It was narrowly edged out by Rihanna on this week’s UK singles charts.
‘The Flood’ is the first single from their new album, Progress, released in the UK today.
The album has received unusually positive reviews, cheering the boy band’s new electro pop direction and avoiding the saccharine ballads that made them huge stars in the first place.
Last month the band sold over a million tickets in a day for their reunion tour in 2011, including seven shows at Wembley Stadium to close the tour.
