Alt-country crossover singer Ryan Adams shut down his own discussion boards due to posting of "sensitive information".
The oft-erratic star was known to frequent the boards himself on occasion, responding to posts and criticism. He also referenced the ryanadams.org discussion boards during his live shows. But NME reports that a post upset Adams and he had the discussion board taken down, albeit temporarily. The website's administrator Dave Smith reportedly stated, "I won't go into details, but sensitive information was exposed on the board that was a threat to both Ryan and the band. And he felt (understandably so) very exposed because of the visibility of this site. So he requested that the board be taken offline while we take some precautions in an attempt to prevent this from happening in the future."
The announcement did not specify exactly what was posted, but knowing the occasionally oversensitive Adams it could've been anything from a request to play 'Summer Of '69' to nude photos of his grandma.
