The FBI have taken DMX into custody after he failed to appear in court.
Arizona Police issued an arrest warrant and a $5,000 (£3,000) reward for information leading to his capture after he fled to Florida when he didn't show up for his court case last Friday. His lawyer Bradford Cohen told MTV News his client was picked up by FBI agents last night in Miami at the mansion of producer Scott Storch.
He added that he was not sure what Storch and DMX's personal relationship is, or if Storch was home at the time of the arrest.
Reports suggest an unnamed woman tipped off the Arizona sheriff's department officials to his whereabouts when she heard about the reward.
The rapper has been arrested several times in Arizona in the past year and failed to appear for several court dates.
The 37-year-old, real name Earl Simmons, is facing drug-possession, identity-theft and animal-cruelty charges but has pleaded not guilty.
He is now being held in jail until he goes before a judge in Miami on Wednesday morning. Cohen said he expected the judge will not grant bond and that DMX will be extradited to Arizona within 15 days.
