Mick Whitnall of Babyshambles is up on charges for possession after being nabbed with crack cocaine.
Whitnall, Pete Doherty's songwriting partner, was questioned two months ago on suspicion of possessing the Class A drug after he was arrested at the Cafe Rouge restaurant in Blackheath, London, on October 12.While he was being questioned at a south-east London police station, officers raised his home in Lee where they recovered what was believed to be rocks of crack cocaine.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said the 40-year-old had been bailed to appear before Greenwich Magistrates' Court on December 10.
Whitnall joined Babyshambles two years ago as lead guitarist replacing Patrick Walden.
