Don`t expect to be downloading your favourite Beatles songs from iTunes just yet. Paul McCartney says the negotiations have stalled.
"The last word I got back was it's stalled at the whole moment, the whole process," the former Beatle told the Associated Press. "I really hope it will happen because I think it should."McCartney says the problem with moving forward with iTunes is not iTunes, it is EMI.
Last year, Apple Corps, the Beatles company settled with Apple Inc, the computer company over use of the Apple name.
Apple Corps has to agree on terms to the terms of the digital releases as EMI cannot release Beatles music in a new format with the permission of The Beatles.
According to the AP report, an EMI spokesperson said, “Unfortunately the various parties involved have been unable to reach agreement but we really hope everyone can make progress soon."
