Pink`s `Funhouse` has jumped in from on Coldplay’s `Viva La Vida` this week to make it the second biggest selling album in Australia so far this year.
With an additional 26,811 units going over the counter last week for Pink ‘Funhouse’ compared to 1,758 copies of Coldplay ‘Viva La Vida’, ‘Funhouse’ now tallies 201,671 sales compared to ‘Viva La Vida’ 192,769.Kings of Leon has the lead with the biggest seller of the year so far. ‘Only By The Night’ has sold a total of 224,768 units.
AC/DC ‘Black Ice’ is at number 4 to date with 176,218 units sold.
On current figures, it is going to be a close call for the number one album of the year.
‘Funhouse’ sold 26,811 units last week compared to Kings of Leon ‘Only By The Night’ that did 21,881.
If Pink can maintain that gap, she will pass Kings of Leon in 4 weeks.
It is going to be a close call.
