Irene Cara had a lot of fame in the 80s, mainly because of the movie `Fame`. She sang the theme song. She also had a number one hit with `Flashdance`, then she appeared to disappear.
Well, Irene Cara is about to return with her first new music in 18 years.‘How Can I Make You Luv Me’ is the first single from Irene Cara featuring Hot Caramel, her all-female band.
While Irene has been out of the spotlight in the USA, she did spend a lot of time performing in Europe and Asia through the 90s. She also visited Australia in 2006 to perform ‘Flashdance’ at the AFL Grand Final.
Irene lives in Florida and has been working up Hot Caramel for a number of years now.
However, he last album was ‘Carasmatic’ in 1987 but she also did contribute to the 1989 soundtrack ‘All Dogs Go To Heaven’.
As well as ‘Fame’ and ‘Flashdance’, she also had a hit with the song ‘Out Here On My Own’, also from the Fame soundtrack.
