The Strokes Albert Hammond Jr has quietly released a solo album in the UK.
The album 'Yours To Keep' was released through Indie label Rough Trade this week.Hammond recorded the album in New York at the Electric Ladyland studios, LoHo studios and Cabin in the City.
His band is Josh Lattanzi on bass and Matt Romano on drums.
Fellow Strokes member Julian Casablancas contributed to some songs. The album also features appearances from Sean Lennon, Ben Kweller, Jody Porter (Fountains of Wayne) and Sammy James Jr (The Mooney Suzuki).
In a statement, Hammond says that the solo album is in addition to The Strokes and that he has not left the band.
Plans to release the album in the USA and Australia are yet to be finalized.
