The Killers’ next album is said to include a whole bunch of new instruments including that icon of the overblown power-solo, the saxophone.
Okay, so fans of Coltrane, or the Stooges might be quick to point out that it’s not all Glenn Rafferty’s ‘Baker Street’ style soloing, but what do the Killers think?In a recent interview with the BBC, Killers bassist Mark Stoermer said “we're always trying new things like the saxophone and we always approach each new song with a different attitude.
“If we feel we need to try something on a song we go for it. We don't just do those things for the hell of it.
“This album again is all over the place but fans that have been with us for the last couple of albums will get it.”
The album is due out at the end of November.
