Right after their drummer announces his side project, The Killers head back into the studio for album number four.
It was actually their drummer Ronnie Vannucci, who has just announced his side project Big Talk, who spoke about the Killers’ writing and recording plans to UK radio station XFM.
They’re on the verge of entering the studio to write – “We have piles of songs we want to show each other”.
Fans have been sceptical about the future of the Killers following Brandon Flowers’ solo album, and Vannucci’s Big Talk, but he said, "Because everybody knows where their bread is buttered and that what we do is special, you can't throw it away. It's guarded and heavily cared for. We don't want to be away for too long."
Vannucci also related how Flowers inspired his approach to vocals and lyrics on Big Talk, saying, “He would always just be so fearless and didn't give a s**t about whatever and would just really put it out on the line and I really admire that from him."
