The long overdue Guns N' Roses album 'Chinese Democracy' has been mooted for release since 1999. It now appears that the album will be released before the end of this year.
The most official word to date came in a statement over the weekend from the band's management. Instead of denying the albums release, the statement read "there are 13 Tuesdays left between now and the end of the year".The delay of 'Chinese Democracy' goes down as one of the longest overdue records of all time. Axl Rose has been working on the album for more than a decade and it had a release date on a Universal Music release sheet in 2000.
The band is now active and will start the 'Chinese Democracy' tour in Jacksonville, Florida on October 20th. A few weeks back, Guns N' Roses played KROQ's Inland Invasion in Los Angeles.
In a statement, Axl Rose says "We had an amazing tour in Europe this summer and last week's shows here in the US were great. It's been a long time getting here but we look forward to coming to your town and having a lot of fun".
The support act for all shows on the tour will be former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach.
