The `Black Ice` album has held its number 2 spot in Australia this week but in the UK it has dropped from 3 to 9.
In the third full week on sale in Australia, AC/DC sold a further 22,950 units to bring its tally to 147,157 sales and take it past the 2x Platinum sales benchmark.It should be noted that record companies certify Platinum for sales shipped to stores, not sales bought by the public, so according to the ARIA chart Black Ice is certified 3x platinum already.
Pink is the real threat to Acca Dacca. Pink sold 49,250 units this week bringing her tally to 142,643 units in two weeks, just 4,514 less than AC/DC’s three week figure.
Pink wasn’t so fortunate in the UK though. After one week ‘Funhouse’ lost ground to Girls Aloud ‘Out of Control’ album.
