Common has released the song Changes early because of the Barack Obama victory.
The song was not due for release until December but Common suddenly had it released this week following the US election."I wrote this song to inspire the young world to believe that change can happen. To be honest, I also envisioned it as a great inaugural song for Barack Obama," said Common from his hometown of Chicago.
The song was written during the Obama campaign. It features Mushsinah Abdul-Karim and a spoken word appearance by his daughter Omoye.
Common’s ‘Universal Mind Control’ album will be released on December 9.
