Big Day Out boss Vivian Lees has been doing a shady deal for the Melbourne event in 2009. Following complaints of not enough shade and shelter this year at Flemington, the 2009 event will be easier on the skin for BDO patrons.
An extensive program has been underway this year with additional trees planted and he grassing of the gravel and asphalt carpark.A second railway station will also be opened at Flemington for this years event so that BDO goers won’t have to wait as long for the trains.
Vivian Lees says, ‘I am confident that the site will evolve and provide many memorable BIG DAY OUT events well into the future’.
